The current series of Inaugural Professorial Lectures was established with the broad aim of promoting and celebrating the academic reputation of professorial staff.
Robert Burns Fellows To Be Celebrated at the
Otago Festival of the Arts
October 3- 12
2008 is the 50th anniversary of New Zealand's premier literary residency, the Robert Burns Fellowship at the University of Otago. To celebrate this milestone, the University will join with the Otago Festival of the Arts to host more than 30 Burns Fellows who between them will be involved in seven days of talks and forums. The progamme of events has been titled 'Nurse To The Imagination' and will include the laying of a commemorative plaque on the plinth of the Robert Burns statue in the Octagon.
